Regions Real Estate Advisors spent our Wednesday afternoon volunteering as servers with Hands on Hartford's Community Meals Program. The team helped prepare the food, then served lunch and engaged with the guests in the dining room. In addition, the team helped clean up the kitchen and dining room after the meal. The Community Meals Program is one of the many amazing programs run by Hands on Hartford, a social service nonprofit organization that serves Hartford’s neediest residents in the areas of food, housing, and health. The Community Meals program is a day shelter and hot meal program, with all meals plated and served restaurant-style. In addition, resource and referral services, assistance in obtaining benefits and birth certificates are available. Student nurses provide health screenings twice per week. When items are available, guests also have access to toiletries, reading glasses, socks, and winter accessories. We can't wait to come back to serve lunch again in March!
